Obituary for Willie V. Harper
Willie was born on September 19, 1943, to the union of Roosevelt and Rebecca Harper (Both preceded him in death.) He was the oldest of 7 children, (four of who preceded him in death: Irene, Louise, Willis, and Roosevelt jr.)
He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age.
He attended William Bryant Elementary school and John Marshall high school. In 1961 enlisted in the U.S. Airforce, where he served 4 years.
In 1963 Willie met and later married the love of his life, Nannie McGuire. There were three children born to this union. Cheryl Yvette, Terrence Victor, and Latonya Renee.
He would bring joy and laughter to all in his presence. He also enjoyed playing cards with friends and family and sharing his wisdom and knowledge.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Nannie, his two daughters, Cheryl (Tim), Latonya and one son Terrence ( Millie), 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren. 6 loving sisters Ruby, Rosemary, Joyce (Glenn), Janice, Linda, and Angel. Two brothers Sammie(Jackie)and Roosevelt. With a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
