Westley Eugene Spruill
Born to Henry Lee and Essie Lee Spruill April 24.1960 in Chicago IL, He was the second of the five children born to this union.
Wes is preceded in death by his mother Essie Lee Spruill; Two grandmother’s Emma L Smith and Mary L Spruell; one grandfather John W Smith one sister Teresa (Rita) West; one brother Lester J Spruill (Roni) and Extended brother/best friend Willie Hyles;
Wes grew up in Chicago IL, on Sacramento Blvd Roosevelt rd where he enjoyed playing basketball in the school yard and was famous for playing and starring in many tournaments. Hooping was his life and hanging with what we would call his life long friends.

Westley Eugene Spruill (Wesman) was a hard-working man, one who touched everyone's soul he met. His spirit was one of a kind. He was loving, kind, generous and caring. He would open his home doors to all his family and friends.

Wes, one true character was the ability to be honest he never spared anyone feelings- “You can count on him tell it just like it was”.

Wes joined Union M.B. Church at an early age under Rev. Marvin E. Alexander. He was Baptized and accepted Christ as his personal Savior. Later in life he attended
Rock Of Ages MB of Maywood.

Wes attended Henry O Shepard elementary, Collins High School and was a part of their first graduated class 0f 1979. There he was known for his generosity and one of the stars of the Collins Cobra basketball team.
Wes also attended Malcom X College.

Wes entered the working field after high school at Replogle Globe Co. where he worked for twenty years as a manger over shipping and receiving. he continued this job until he found his career at the railroad where he would spend his last working days.

Wes,enjoyed watching the Cubs and pitsburg stealers and his favorite sport that he participated in as adult was bowling. Bowling became a very important part of his life. he introduced this sport to his baby boys and also his granddaughter. He didn’t miss an opportunity to bowl at times he even traveled outside the state to many tournaments to show off his life skill

*Bonus children; David, Shenqia, Chris,Boo Man and Max Matthew Spruill (his dog child); eighteen grandchildren; Seven sisters: Ruby Taylor, Mildard Davis, , Pauline Martin(George), Laverne Teague, Shari Wells, Gwendolyn Spruill, and Trenise Webb, three brothers: Henry B Spruill, and LaSean Tate. His loving companion LaVita Hall 5 aunts 1 great aunt 2 uncles
