Obituary for Louis J. Breaux

Louis Joseph Breaux was born November 29, 1932 in Klotzville, Louisiana to the union of Louis
II and Olisker Breaux.
Louis is preceded in death by both parents (2) brothers; Lonnie and Weldon Breaux, (1) sister;
Mary Williams, (1) Grandson; Lance Grant, Daughter; god daughter Denise Glover, son-in-law;
Paul Wash, (3) brothers-in-law; Charles McKissick, James Webb and Murray Williams. Louis
accepted Christ at an early age, uniting in the Catholic faith. Louis received his education in the
Louisiana school system.
On July 25, 1953 Louis was united in holy matrimony to Loretta Webb, who also preceded him
in death. To the union of Louis and Loretta, (8) eight children were born. They were married for
44 years.
Louis loved to cook, he made the best gumbo in town and no one could top him when it came to
barbeque.
Some of his hobbies were playing cards, going to the race track and he also loved working in
his garden.
His favorite sayings were “Big Money” and “Got to take care of that business.”
Louis worked all of his life to take care of his family.
He worked in the sugar cane fields of Donaldsonville, Louisiana, moving to Chicago, Illinois in
1949, where he was employed by US Steel. He then moved on to Delta Airlines working as a
Sky Cap at O’Hare Airport until his retirement in 1999. But he continued being of service to
others, particularly seniors, helping them in any way he could.
Louis was a people’s person, everyone he came in contact with admired him. He had a special
love for his children and grandchildren. He was the best father ever. He will be truly missed by
all that knew him.
Louis Breaux made his transition on Friday, January 31, 2020 leaving (3) brothers; James
(Willie Mae), Stanley (Magdalene), and Warren (Nita) Breaux. (3) Sisters; Rose McKissick,
Geneva (Leo) Stewart, and Shirley (Richard) Roussell, (2) sisters-in-law, Beverly Breaux and
Peggy Breaux.
Also cherishing his fond memories are his children: Clifford, Dwayne (Karen), Vernell (Angela),
Alzola, Verneen, Kimberly (Melvin), Kimetha (Gregory), LaShawn (Robert), Jeanine (Jarvis),
Jetaun and son-in-law Danny Glover.
Grandchildren: Vernell Jr., Clifford Jr., Jordan, Brandon, Korie, Khristian, Martrell, Ryan, Robert
III, Randall, Jeremy, Bryan, Bertha, Paulina, Briana, Joya, Jada, Jailynn, Diamond, DeAndre,
DéVona, Deja, Amari, Autumn, Jeremiah, Joannis, Eden, Farrah and Trinity.
Great grandchildren; Luna, Emery, Jace, Ranae, Ryan Jr., Bryan, Zoe, Marrion, Nevadis,
Tanay, Khrysia, Khristian Jr., Elijah, Zianna, Kenniah, Kennedy, Latrell and Kalliah, Ajarie and a
host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
