Obituary for Jane Micenhamer

Jane Micenhamer was born on May 8, 1942, to Aritter Watkins in Deeson, Mississippi. She was an only child. Jane later
moved to Chicago, Illinois where she was raised by her grandmother, Leona Murphy.
Jane accepted Jesus Christ into her life at a young age under the ministry of Rev. James A. Murphy Sr. at Rose of Sharon
Baptist Church in Chicago. She later joined the ministry under Sister Willie Ross of Garden Prayer Pentecostal Church. At
the time of her transition, Jane was a good standing member of Temple of Faith Church and Outreach Center lead by
Pastor Cleo Butler Sr. From the beginning she was well respected, well thought of, and a great part of the spiritual
ministry. She was a known prayer warrior.
Jane loved the Lord and raised her children to have a strong faith and belief in God. She lived a life that exemplified her
love and belief in Christ. She would get on her knees and pray for hours at a time in the corner of her couch that was
also her favorite place to sit. She was loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She believed in being honest and did
not hold back her words. She kept her family laughing and loved having them in her presence. She was truly blessed.
She enjoyed raising her children, taking care of her grandchildren, crossword puzzles, watching televised ministries and
movies with her family. Most importantly she enjoyed reading her bible. Her relationship with God was undeniable. Her
favorite bible chapter was 91 Psalms, and she would often quote scriptures to keep her family grounded. She would tell
her children that whenever they were afraid or unsure to plead the blood of Jesus. Her faith was unwavering.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother Leona Murphy, her mother Aritter Watkins, her three children Shirley
Moore, Arlandia (Janice) Moore Jr, Debra McKinnie, and grandchildren Jessica Pamia Curry and Gerald Lamont Mason.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories her children Carmen (William) Dooley, Joshua (Ora) Moore, Melvin (Sterey)
Moore, Linda Mason, Janice Ford, Leola (Marcell) Reid, adopted grandsons Jeremy Johnson and Jonathan Johnson, 22
grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and a host of aunts, cousins, and friends.
