Gone But Not Forgotten
Henry Clayton Riley, was born March 19, 1946 in Itta Bena, Mississippi to the late Robert and Annie Riley who both preceded him in death. Clay was born ninth child to this union. Clay had five sisters and one brother who also preceded him in death. Gertrude, Edna, Lucille, Hattie, Mae, and Robert Jr,
Clay was baptized at an early age. He accepted Christ later in life. Clay attended school in Mississippi and after moving to Chicago, Illinois he continued his education. In 1967, Clay married Doris Davis and later divorced. To this union two children were born.
Clay loved his family, hotrods and motorcycles. Another of his favorite past times was playing chess and listen to the blues. (He lived a simple life)
Clay worked as a bricklayer for many years. He also had a small construction company with his son.
After a long battle with illness, Clay earned his wings on February 20, 2021 surrounded by family members.
Clay leaves to cherish in his loving memory, four daughters; Angela, Arlene (Anthony), Johelen, and Brittany. Four sons; Bernard, Clay (Anetria), Ron (Nia), and Clayton "DeAndre". Three sisters; Oddie Riley, Maeola White (Milton), and Annie Jenkins. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
Special Friends: Linda Russell, Samuel "T" Lyons and Butch.
