Obituary for Gloria Solomon

Gloria Solomon was born April 16, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois to Luroyal Huff. She was the oldest of five (girls) siblings.

She attended Henry Horner Elementary school, where she met a group of girls she bonded with throughout her life and all grew up to be remarkable women.

She attended Wendell Phillips High School. As a youth and young adult, Gloria participated in sports at the youth center. Her favorite sports were volleyball and softball which she was quite good at both.
She enjoyed cooking big meals, playing cards, and attending large family gatherings. Talking on the phone with everyone was her way to fellowship and staying connected with those she loved.

Gloria had an enormous love for her family; and especially with her grandchildren/great-grandchildren. They were the joy and pride of her heart! Her days and nights were complete and filled with happiness when the grandchildren/great-grandchildren were in her presence.

She touched many lives, young and old. Her smile would brighten up your day as you listened to her one-on-one conversation with you.

Gloria leaves to cherish her precious memories four daughters: Taralynn, Letisha, Brittany, and Bethany with each she shared a special bond; nine grandchildren: Khemaurius, Kylan, Makayla, MaKynzi (preceded her in death), Andrew, Xavier, Emmanuel, DeAngelo, and Dylan; two great-grandsons: Khemaurius Jr. and Sekani; mother, Luroyal; four sisters Michelle, Somner, Stephanie, and Caprice; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, special friends/sisters, and extended family members.
